Suhasini: "We introduced AR Rahman to the film industry"

Suhasini Maniratnam is an Indian actress and director who gained huge popularity in the Southindian cinema. She is famous for a huge number of films in Tamil („Sindhu Bhairavi“), Kannada („Bandhana“), Telugu („Swathi“) and Malayalam („Theerthadanam“). She played many times lead roles in film featured by Mammootty and Mohanlal. Suhasini is married to the director Mani Ratnam („Dil Se“, „Yuva“, „Roja“, „Guru“). Recently, Tomal Ganguly interviewed Suhasini at the Stuttgart Film Festival in July 2012 where she was a member of the jury. Camera/editing was done by Birgit van Art and Marta Nowicki.
